This is the web site of Instituto de la Calidad en la Acreditación de Carreras de Ingeniería y Tecnología (ICACIT).

ICACIT is a university-level Peruvian accrediting body currently in the process of being established and chartered. Its mission is to foster continuous improvement of the quality and relevance of engineering and technology educational programs in Peru through accreditation.

ICACIT is supported by the Educational Activities Board (EAB) of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) (www.ieee.org\education) and by the IEEE Peru Section. It has developed a memorandum of understanding with ABET Inc. (www.abet.org), outlining areas of mutual interest and cooperation. Furthermore, ICACIT participates in several initiatives geared toward improving accreditation of engineering, technology and computing programs in Central and South America, including the Engineering for the Americas Initiative and projects led by the Organization of American States (www.oas.org).

ICACIT is based in Lima. Its President is Ing. José Valdez. Its Vice President is Enrique Alvarez.
